RE: CANCELLATION OF OPTIMIST GOLD FLEET QUALIFIER

Based on the latest SportSG guidelines for sports events, participants who are 12 years and below must be capped at 20% of the total number of entries.

With this limitation, it is impossible to include all Silver Fleet sailors for the Gold Fleet qualifier.

Therefore, we regret to inform you that we have made the decision to cancel the Optimist Gold Fleet Qualifier scheduled on 15-16 January 2022. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and seek your understanding that this executive decision to cancel was made because our sailor’s health and safety is top priority.

SingaporeSailing will continue to do our best to organise and run events within the current restrictions. We hope for everyone to stay safe as well as your kind understanding in continuing to play our part in transitioning to the new norm.
